Białystok Science and Technology Park


Białystok Science and Technology Park is a project carried out by the City of Białystok and co-financed with the European Regional Development Fund within the Operational Programme: Development of Eastern Poland for the years 2007-2013.

Years of project implementation: 2009 – 2012

The mission and general aim of Białystok Science and Technology Park is sustainable economic development of the city of Białystok and Podlasie region by promoting culture of modern technologies, innovation and competition among entrepreneurs and institutions which operate in knowledge-based conditions.


The Park will offer help to startup companies as well as to the other firms, which will be willing to develop and implement new, innovative projects.

Preferred lines of business in the Park: computer science, biotechnology and pharmacology, nanotechnology and communication engineering, electronic engineering and electrical engineering, production of medical, precision and optical instruments.

Within the framework of the project two buildings will be erected: the Buildings of Technological Incubator and Białystok Science and Technology Park Administration and Technological Centre with total area of ca. 13000 sq.m. Construction works will start in IV quarter of the year 2010.


Technological Incubator and Białystok Science and Technology Park Administration

The main building of the Park - Technological Incubator and Białystok Science and Technology Park Administration - will perform logistic functions related to Park administration and development. It will also support the startup businesses and development of high tech companies through offering to them office and service space for rent (at the beginning on preferential conditions). Moreover, the building will perform representative function as conference and exhibition centre.

Technological Centre

The building of the Technological Centre will support park residents in execution of the tasks related to their service and production activities in the sector of high technologies and also tasks resulting from their participation in R&D programmes. The technological and service part of building will comprise technological halls, laboratories, and the office space (open space offices) for rent.

In addition to the office, administrative and conference spaces, the buildings of the Park will include laboratories – the biochemical laboratory and the laboratory for analyses of mechanical, electrical and physical characteristics of materials. Afterwards, the laboratory for research in the field of nanotechnology is planned to be implemented. There is also space in the Technological Centre planned for the Interdisciplinary Computer Centre, offering among others data processing services.

Moreover, the Park will have at its disposal the investment area of ca. 23 hectares for sale or lease.
